Matchday One - 6-3 Loss VS EA Allstars

A lazy first half once more cost TTFE dearly as they failed to win on the opening night of the season to new boys EA Allstars.

The kick off was delayed for 10 mins or so as both sides collected themselves, but once things got going TTFE probably wished for a bit more time to wake up. Once again a shaky start has condemned TTFE to an early battering and then amounting to a hard climb to get back into the game. Thomas scored the first goal of the season, but it a mere consolulation in this dull opening twenty minutes. By then four goals had been conceded - all of which could have been prevented with more active marking and greater concentration. Their danger man was the main scorer, with a solid shot to boot. Once he found the space he was assured of a goal. And a good one at that.

Not to sing their praises too much on their Gol debut, but to be 4-1 up on their opening game in the league must be an achievement. The second half was an evenly matched affair, with touches of brilliance and waves of determination from both sides. James Pugh showed what his Thursday training can do with two awesome strikes to up the count to three. Sadly by then, the game was out of reach as the Allstars had upped their own tally to six. In all, not the best start TTFE hoped for.

Goals: Thomas 1, Pugh 2.

Goals Tally: Pugh 2, Thomas 1.

Roundup: Swifts FC could not break their habit in the first game of the Sunday Division as they were punished by new side STD Eindhoven 12 goals to 5. Real Zarargos could not overpower the might of newly inserted team, The Warriors, as they were defeated 5-2. Total Teamwear FC, runners up last season, faced a tough challenge against another new side Old Skool, but romped home eventually 12-8. In the only familar game of the evening, South Glamorgan Saints continued their pleasing progress in the division by defeating F-50s 7-5.

Next Week: TTFE are aiming for some payback for last season's 4-1 defeat to Real Zarargos in a late night clash. F-50s and Old Skool go head to head to get their first points of the season. South Glam Saints face the EA Allstars. The Warriors face Swifts FC, whilst the two big goal scorers of matchday one, Total Teamwear FC and STD Eindhoven, face off prior to our TTFE game.
